Homicide Squad 416?808?7400
On Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at 6:32 p.m., police were called to 75 Talara Drive.
Officers located a woman in one of the apartments suffering from obvious signs of trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The post?mortem examination determined the cause of death as multiple sharp?force entries to the body.
Investigators have learned that the victim was in the process of renting the other bedroom in her apartment. Police believe an online ad may have been posted on a Chinese website for the apartment. Police are asking anyone who contacted the victim about renting the bedroom to contact them.
Anyone who may have had a relationship with the victim, or any type of interaction with her, is asked to call police.
A police command post will be staffed between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., on Friday, September 5, 2008, in front of 75 Talara Drive , and will remain on site for the weekend. Anyone with information is asked to speak with an officer at the command post.
Additional officers have been assigned to the area to obtain information and to address any concerns area residents may have.

Homicide Squad 416?808?7400
On Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at 6:32 p.m., police were called to 75 Talara Drive.
Officers located a woman in one of the apartments suffering from obvious signs of trauma.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have now completed notification of next of kin, and are able to identify the deceased as Yuan (Tracy) Tian, 31.
Her family has asked police to pass on their request that the media not publish or broadcast any pictures they have of Yuan (Tracy) Tian.
