{"id":1380,"date":"2007-03-05T22:59:41","date_gmt":"2007-03-06T03:59:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.jackjia.com\/?p=1380"},"modified":"2007-03-05T22:59:41","modified_gmt":"2007-03-06T03:59:41","slug":"2007030528%e5%b9%b4%e6%9d%a5%ef%bc%8c%e4%bb%8a%e5%b9%b42%e6%9c%88%e4%bb%bd%e6%9c%80%e5%86%b7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.jackjia.com\/?p=1380","title":{"rendered":"20070305\/28\u5e74\u6765\uff0c\u4eca\u5e742\u6708\u4efd\u6700\u51b7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>February was coldest in 28 years<\/p>\n<p>Mar 05, 2007 12:13 PM<br \/>\nCurtis Rush \uff0cStaff Reporter\/If you thought February was particularly cold, you were right. <\/p>\n<p>Frigid conditions made the month the coldest February in 28 years, according to Environment Canada\u2019s senior climatologist David Phillips. <\/p>\n<p>Not since 1979 has February dished up such bone-rattling conditions. <\/p>\n<p>The average temperature was -8.4C, which was three degreescolder than normal. <\/p>\n<p>That also made it the fifth coldest February since 1937 when weather records were first kept at what is now Pearson International Airport. <\/p>\n<p>It followed an unusually mild January. <\/p>\n<p>The month was also distinguished by a lack of rain. <\/p>\n<p>Usually in Feburary, the temperature rises enough that we get some rain. <\/p>\n<p>However, this was the first February since 1978 and only the second ever when we didn\u2019t get one drop of rain. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This was winter at its worst,&#8221; Phillips said. <\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s weather will be cold, but there is the promise of spring around the corner. <\/p>\n<p>Environment Canada is predicting temperatures will rise to 3C by Friday. <\/p>\n<p>And although we have had snowfalls right through May in some years, the law of averages suggests we may have had our last snowstorm of the season. <\/p>\n<p>In the months of March, April and May, there is only a 21 per cent chance of any snow falling, according to Phillips. <\/p>\n<p>Environment Canada is also calling for normal temperatures through March, April and May. <\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/www.thestar.com\/News\/article\/188324<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>February was coldest in 28 years Mar 05, 2007 12:13 PM Curtis Rush \uff0cStaff Reporter\/If you thought February was particularly cold, you were right.
