\u6b64\u6848\u5df2\u88ab\u63d0\u4ea4\u81f3\u5b89\u7701\u6cd5\u5ead\uff0c\u53d7\u5b89\u7701\u6cd5\u5f8b\u89c4\u7ba1\u3002\u6bcf\u4e00\u9879\u63a7\u7f6a\uff0c\u5982\u679c\u7f6a\u6210\uff0c\u5510\u5c06\u9762\u4e34\u4e0d\u8d85\u8fc7500\u4e07\u5143\u7684\u7f5a\u6b3e\uff0c\u6216\u8005\u4e0d\u8d85\u8fc75\u5e74\u7684\u5165\u72f1\uff0c\u6216\u8005\u4e24\u8005\u5e76\u7f5a\u3002\u5510\u5e76\u88ab\u8981\u6c42\u4e8e6\u670824\u65e5\u4e0a\u53489\u65f6\u5728\u4f4d\u4e8e60 Queen St. W.\u7684\u8001\u5e02\u653f\u5385111\u5385\u51fa\u5ead\u3002<\/p>\n

\u5b89\u7701\u8bc1\u76d1\u4f1a\u5728\u901a\u544a\u8868\u793a\uff0c\u5b89\u7701\u8bc1\u76d1\u4f1a\u6b63\u4e0e\u7f8e\u56fd\u8bc1\u5238\u4ea4\u6613\u59d4\u5458\u4f1a\uff08SEC\uff09\u8054\u624b\u8c03\u67e5\u8fd9\u4e00\u4e8b\u4ef6\u3002<\/p>\n

OSC Lays Charges Against Weizhen Tang, Oversea Chinese Fund Limited Partnership, and Weizhen Tang & Associates<\/strong><\/p>\n

TORONTO\u2013 Today the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) laid 12 charges against Weizhen Tang, Oversea Chinese Fund Limited Partnership, and Weizhen Tang & Associates (the \u201cDefendants\u201d). <\/p>\n

The Defendants are charged with contravening Ontario securities law by committing: <\/p>\n

\u00b7 Securities fraud contrary to section 126.1 of the Ontario Securities Act (the \u201cAct\u201d);
\n\u00b7 Unregistered trading in securities, contrary to section 25 of the Act;
\n\u00b7 Illegal distributions of securities, contrary to section 53 of the Act; and
\n\u00b7 Making prohibited undertakings with the intention of effecting trades in securities, contrary to section 38 of the Act.<\/p>\n

Staff of the OSC allege that at least $40 million was invested in Oversea Chinese Fund Limited Partnership by more than 100 investors, including residents of Ontario.<\/p>\n

The charges are being brought before the Ontario Court of Justice, pursuant to the Ontario Provincial Offences Act. Each offence, on conviction, carries a maximum fine of not more than $5 million or a period of incarceration of five years less a day, or both. <\/p>\n

The Defendants have been summoned to appear at the Old City Hall Courthouse, 60 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario in Courtroom 111 at 9:00 a.m. on June 24, 2009.<\/p>\n

The Defendants are already subject to temporary cease trade orders by the OSC. These Orders prohibit trading of Oversea Chinese Fund Limited Partnership securities and prohibit the defendants from trading in all securities. Additionally, the OSC on March 18, 2009, froze the assets in trading accounts of the Defendants. This order of the Commission has been continued by order of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. <\/p>\n

The OSC is working with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the ongoing investigation of this matter.<\/p>\n
