8月25日牵了一部Toyota RAV4，劳动节长周末之后的9月4日(周二)提车，这是一部2007的旧款新车，排量2.4升、4缸、4驱、基本配备，RAV4属运动型多功能车(SUV)。2008年的新款在一些车行有展示，但估计两个月左右顾客才能开上路。从本地英文网站看到，09年款的RAV4可能将在加拿大本土生产。
RAV4是”Recreational Activity Vehicle, 4-wheel drive”的缩写，是日本丰田公司1994年在日本和欧洲推出，并在1996年打入北美市场。1996-2000是第一代，2001-2005是第二代，目前是第三代，08与07的变化不大，仍是同一代产品的改良。在2006及2007的多伦多国际车展(Autoshow)上，06及07款的RAV4先后两次在价格低于3.5万元的同类车组级别中，被加拿大汽车记者协会(AJAC)评选为最佳SUV/CUV。
但从网上的英文论坛看，这款车的定速巡航功能设计有问题，部分人士正准备采取法律行动。

这部车旧款新车是4年期的lease，自己每年预加额外的8千公里（原lease条款是每年2.4万公里），以及为降低贷款利率由4.9%至3.9%，外加可返还的安全押金(Security Deposit)3150元，最终月供500出头。
计第一周下来总公里数1030公里（提车时里程表是60公里），按此预计一年得5万公里。除头箱油是车行送的外，自己已经加油两次，第二次加油可以算出大致的耗油量，48升/520公里，折合下来9.23升/百公里，资料上介绍的是：10.1 L/100km city – 7.8 L/100km highway。在SUV中RAV4油耗数字不高，但这首1000公里是以高速为主的高速及市区混合型，似乎油耗还是有些偏高。
